One of the last major festivals of the year in Europe, as Summer holidays, or rather School holidays will finish there early September. A Classic on the annual Festival Agenda, Pukkelpop - sold out as usual - started today and will go on until Saturday, or make that early Sunday morning. Pukkelpop is definitely one of the leading alt. rock / indie festivals on the European continent.
UPDATE 6 due to freak weather, a short, sudden and extreme thunderstorm, that has savaged and ravaged the festival site, the festival is currently interrupted. The festival site looks like a war zone at the moment, so it's unsure as to how this will proceed, if at all.
At an official Press Conference given at 20.55Hrs CET it was announced that 2 people had been killed and more than 40 were seriously injured.
VRT now reports 3 people dead.
